This Privacy Policy explains how Inspired Therapy, the private clinical social work practice of Melissa Pazen, MSW, LCSW ("Inspired Therapy", "I", "me"), collects and uses information through this website. It covers the website only. Your clinical care is covered separately by the Notice of Privacy Practices you receive when you begin therapy.
When you use the free consultation form, you send your name, email address and, if you choose, your phone number and a short message. I use this only to reply to you and arrange a consultation. Please keep the message brief and do not include detailed health information; we can talk about that privately once we are in touch.
Appointments, video sessions, insurance and payment are handled through Grow Therapy, a HIPAA-compliant platform. When you follow a "Book on Grow Therapy" link you leave this website, and Grow Therapy's own privacy policy and terms apply to the information you give them.
Like most websites, the hosting server keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. The website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. See the Cookie Policy for the small number of cookies and on-device storage it does use.
I use the information you send only to respond to you. I do not sell, rent or trade it. It is shared only with the service providers needed to run this website and deliver email (for example the web host), or where the law requires it.
The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address with them. Links to Grow Therapy, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google take you to sites with their own privacy policies.
Consultation requests are kept only as long as needed to respond and arrange care, and are then deleted unless you become a client, in which case they become part of your confidential record and are kept as Illinois law requires.
